Special Needs Judo Foundation is a non-political, non-profit organisation providing unprecedented quality in education, training and competition for all people in the art of Judo.
SNJF’s mission is to help, support and execute projects whose aim it is to include Special Needs Judoka into both local initiatives and national Judo federations. Thus, opportunity grows for the athletes to participate in training and competition and athletes will be challenged to their fullest potential, regardless of their ability.
SNJF is convinced that this improves the life of people with a disability, their family, their surroundings and by extension, society as a whole.
SNJF’s message towards teachers, trainers, coaches and judoka will be to transcend boundaries of handicap, race, gender, religion, national organisations, geographic or political background, in the spirit of Jigoro Kano Sensei’s ideal of Judo: “Perfecting oneself to benefit the world“.
